Flybe picks up German award

Flybe's website, flybe.com, has been voted the 'Best Airline Website' by FVW magazine, Germany's largest travel trade publication. It beat Germany's own national carrier, Lufthansa as well as those of BA, Air Berlin, Germanwings, easyJet and Ryanair to win the award.
The magazine carried out a test by a 'Mystery Shopper' - an elderly lady wanting to fly from Hamburg to Northampton to visit her grandchild. It said that Flybe's comprehensive, easy to navigate website was head and shoulders above its nearest rival, with Flybe's German content and connections receiving maximum points.
Mike Rutter, Flybe's Chief Commercial Officer, said: We are delighted that our website has received such high recognition by the German travel trade. Our in-house designers came up trumps in making sure that flybe.com reflects the fresh, bold and innovative approach to 21st century quality, low cost air travel for which Flybe is renowned.'
