Belfast City Airport has upgraded its website, which has more than 30,000 unique web visits every month, so that it can carry real-time flight information. The airport has installed a 2Mbyte managed internet link supplied by ntl:Telewest Business to carry the information. The upgrade also provides high-speed internet connectivity to all the airport's administrative offices.
David Armstrong, regional sales manager of ntl:Telewest Business, said: ‘Internet connectivity is as important to the operation of the airport as any other utility.’ The connection also allows software providers to remotely monitor business critical applications. The airport was used by more than two million passengers in 2007.
