Aer Lingus to launch Belfast - Heathrow flights
26.07.07
Aer Lingus is to fly from Belfast International Airport to London Heathrow, the BBC website reports. It adds that the flights, which will launch next month, will operate four times daily each way.
The new route emerged as negotiations continued for Belfast International to become the airline's UK hub airport. As reported earlier this week, Aer Lingus has been tipped to pick Belfast over Birmingham at its base, after the local government offered incentives for it to open in Northern Ireland. Press reports suggest that it will launch up to 15 routes from its new hub.
