Flybe smoke emergency at Belfast Airport
25.11.10
Smoke in the cockpit of a plane preparing for take off at Belfast City Airport caused a full emergency yesterday. The Flybe aircraft was taxiing prior to take off around 10:00 when the pilot reported the problem.
An airport spokesperson told UTV all passengers had disembarked safely and boarded another plane to take them their destination. An investigation was launched to find out what caused the problem, with another Flybe plane suffering a similar problem in Guernsey today (see separate story).
