Aer Lingus launch more Belfast Airport routes
25.02.08
Irish airline Aer Lingus will launch four new international routes from its new hub at Belfast International Airport this week. Four times weekly flights to Rome and Malaga launch today, with three times weekly flights to Faro and Budapest taking off tomorrow.
The expansion brings to eight the number of routes the airline has launched since it set up its hub - involving an investment of £100 million - at Belfast International in December. The airline already operates services to Heathrow, Amsterdam, Barcelona and Geneva. The new routes also mean the airline is basing a third aircraft at the Belfast airport.
A daily service to Paris starting on March 30 and flights to Nice beginning on April 1 will complete the network of ten destinations currently planned.
