easyJet celebrates 10 years at Belfast Airport

easyJet is celebrating the tenth anniversary of the start of its operations in Northern Ireland. The first easyJet route from Belfast International Airport was to Luton; the airline now flies to 21 domestic and European destinations from the hub.
Chief executive Andy Harrison joined the celebrations with staff at the airport. He said the airline had made a substantial contribution to tourism and the Northern Irish economy. He said: 'We have brought millions of visitors to the region and have provided employment both directly and indirectly for more than 20,000 people.'
Belfast International Airport managing director John Doran said he was delighted to celebrate the significant milestone with easyJet.
