Manx2 adds Isle of Man - Belfast and Gloucester flights
19.02.08
Manx2 is to add more flights to its route network from the Isle of Man to both Gloucester and Belfast. An extra flight will leave the Isle of Man for Gloucester at 14:30 every Thursday, heading back at 16:00. The airline's Belfast service will see a 20 percent increase in the number of flights available.
James Filleul, of Manx2.com, said: 'Gloucester has been a real success for us and for the seven thousand customers we've already carried on the route. The route has grown strongly since we launched it last autumn, and we think the time is now right to add even more flights to try and keep up with demand.'
'Thursday is a very busy day on the route at the moment, partly because of customers wanting to take a short weekend break in the Isle of Man, or in the Gloucester region; also we have substantial numbers of business customers, wanting to get home ahead of the Friday rush.'
In addition, Manx2.com’s Belfast timetable has been increased and now offers up to 70 flights on a week between the two destinations, to cope with growing demand. Mr Filleul said: 'We have grown the route substantially in the last year. Our summer timetable in 2008 has 20% more flights on it than the 2007 version, which is a real sign of how successful that route has been.'
Manx2 now offers flights between the Isle of Man and Blackpool, Belfast, Leeds, Gloucester, Jersey and (from March 3rd), East Midlands.
