Belfast City Airport to fund school children discovery flights
18.05.11
Belfast City Airport’s Community Fund is funding a pleasure flight around the Mournes for two groups of school children. The children, aged between 4 and 7 years old from Knocknagoney and Short Strand Community Centres, many of whom have never flown before, will be treated to the 40-minute flight as part of the latest ‘Journey Project’ expedition to be funded by the airport.
The project provides children aged 4 - 7 from after school groups at the Short Strand and Knocknagoney Community Centres with the opportunity to develop cross community friendships based on a series of shared experiences.
