Belfast Airport opens latest upgrade phase
12.12.09
Passengers travelling through Belfast International Airport will be greeted by a new glass-fronted building at the terminal after the completion of the second phase of its £10 million redevelopment.
In the last five years more than £50 million has been invested into the airport. John Doran, chief executive at Belfast International, said the investment will mean that the airport would be able to cater for all of the region's air traffic for future decades. He said: ‘As the second largest airport on the island of Ireland, we provide vital support to our 24-hour economy with virtually unlimited runway capacity.'
