Flybe axe Belfast – Blackpool flights
11.06.09
Loganair, a Flybe franchise partner, has announced it is axing its two daily flights between Blackpool Airport and both Belfast City and the Isle of Man, only launched in April. But airport bosses are not concerned as Manx2 has announced that it will take over the routes.
Loganair has said it is pulling out because of a lack of demand, with the last flight leaving on July 12. Sue Kendrick, customer relations and communications manager at Blackpool Airport, said: ‘Obviously its disappointing, but Loganair could not compete with Manx2, who offer similar flights.'
