Flybe plane emergency at Belfast City Airport

Emergency procedures were launched at Belfast City Airport on last night after a Flybe plane reported technical problems. The flight from East Midlands Airport was making its approach just before 19:00 when the pilot alerted air traffic controllers to a possible problem.
Ambulances and twelve fire appliances were sent to the scene - including pumping and aerial vehicles. The plane - which had 41 passengers and 5 crew on board - landed safely.
None of the passengers or crew on board were injured.
