Winds hit Belfast Airport flight
27.02.08
A plane had to abort its flight and return to Manchester after two failed two attempts to land in Belfast last night when gusts of wind over 60 miles per hour gripped parts of Northern Ireland. The FlyBe flight twice attempted to land at Belfast City Airport but was forced to abandon its plans.
The plane turned around to make its way back to Manchester where it had begun its journey. The strong winds and heavy rain also caused delays for a number of other flights at the Belfast airport.
