Aberdeen Airport flights hit by snow

Aberdeen Airport was forced to close its runway today after freezing fog caused dangerous flying conditions. In addition, two incoming flights from Heathrow and one from Amsterdam were cancelled because of the wintry conditions elsewhere.
More than 20 flights were delayed today – including three from overnight. Flights due to arrive from Manchester, Norwich, Kirkwall and Sumburgh were among those held up. An airport spokesman said: ‘We are open again, but while the flights may be leaving, there may still be people who are stuck in traffic.’
