bmi scraps Aberdeen - Brussels route
12.07.07
Full service airline bmi has announced that it is scrapping its Aberdeen Airport - Brussels route from July 27 after only three months of operation.
The airline had launched the daily weekday route on April 16, using Embraer jet aircraft and with support from the Scottish Executive Route Development Fund. But now passengers who have booked from the airport for after July 27 will have to travel via Heathrow to the Belgian capital. bmi offers up to four daily services to Brussels from Heathrow.
The re-routing policy has been set up to cover all passengers who have been issued tickets before July 10 for travel on or after July 28. Passengers who have not been ticketed by this deadline will have to make alternative arrangements.
