Passengers down at Aberdeen Airport

Aberdeen Airport had just over three million passengers in 2009, 9.4% down on the year before. In December passengers were down by the same percentage, as the airport was hit by the weather and the collapse of FlyGlobespan.
Airport owner BAA's chief executive Colin Matthews said: ‘2009 was a difficult year for our airline customers. Towards the end of the year we saw signs of improvements. But there are more challenging times ahead in 2010.’
