Man faces trial over Aberdeen Airport suspicious package
10.10.09
A man is to go on trial after he denied sending an alarming package to Aberdeen’s airport boss, the Evening Express reports.
Andrew Kirk, 49, appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court in December last year charged with breaking the peace. He was also alleged to have sent mail addressed to the CEO or MD of Aberdeen Airport. The package 'made staff at the Aberdeen terminal fearful'. He was also said to have sent text and images of an alarming nature to the airport.
Mr Kirk, whose address was given as 32 Bishops Park, Inverness, denied the charges at the Aberdeen Sheriff Court. Sheriff Annella Cowan continued the case to trial next month.
