10.10.06
Aberdeen Airport is to have cheap flights to seven of Europe's most popular holiday destinations next year, after Scottish low-cost airline Flyglobespan announced plans to launch a major summer programme from its newest Scottish base.
The airline is to offer three flights a week to Palma (Majorca), twice weekly services to Faro (Algarve), Alicante, Barcelona and Murcia, and weekly flights to Cyprus from the end of April.
Flyglobespan chairman, Tom Dalrymple, said: 'For the first time ever, the region will be able to enjoy scheduled flights to Europe's most popular resorts - at highly competitive prices. I am very pleased that many of these airports will have more than one flight a week.'
