Aberdeen airport passengers at all time high

Aberdeen airport has broken through the 3 million passengers-a-year barrier for the first time. The airport recorded an annual increase of 10.1% for the year to May 2006.
Boosted by several new routes international services saw growth of 22.9% last month. There was an increase of 13.4% in the number of people travelling to and from the airport by helicopter.
Aberdeen Airport managing director, Andy Flower, said: 'The future of this airport and the city and shire looks brighter by the day. There is little doubt that Aberdeen airport makes a substantial and growing contribution to the northeast.'
