Loganair plans increase Aberdeen to Sumburgh flights
07.10.06
Loganair, the British Airways franchise partner, is looking to increase the number of flights it operates between Aberdeen and Sumburgh, the main airport in the Shetland Islands. The airline's chairman, Scott Grier, told local councillors that passenger numbers had increased over the last 12 months, The Shetland Times reports.
As a result Loganair is looking to increase the number of return flights between Aberdeen Airport and Sumburgh from next summer. On Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays the return flights will operate six times daily, up from the present five. On Saturdays, there will be four daily flights, up from three.
The frequency of flights from Sumburgh to Edinburgh will also increase, from two weekend flights to three.
