WW2 bomb found at Aberdeen Airport

Army experts were called to Aberdeen Airport yesterday after a suspected Second World War bomb was found, STV reports The device was discovered at the airport at around 09:00 during work to extend the runway.
The Army Explosive Ordnance Disposal team from Edinburgh was called in and removed the device, which was not live. It is thought it could date from the Second World War when the airfield was an RAF base.
An airport spokeswoman said there was no impact on flights or the extension works as the device was found in a remote part of the airfield.
