Watchdog to force BAA to sell airports
28.03.11
The UK competition watchdog will force airport operator BAA to press ahead with the sale of Stansted and either Glasgow or Edinburgh airport this week, the Sunday Times reported.
BAA had a legal bid to challenge the sale order by the Competition Commission rejected in February. The Commission took time to consider whether market conditions had changed since 2009, when it ordered BAA to sell Stansted and either Glasgow or Edinburgh airport within two years. After talking to relevant parties, the newspaper reports that it will enforce its original decision.
