Ryanair wants Italian air traffic control compensation
13.05.08
Ryanair has called on ENAV, Italy’s Air Traffic Control Authority, to compensate passengers affected by the latest strike in Italy. Ryanair says that ENAV is on strike for the eighth time in 18 months and continues 'to inflict cancellations and delays on hundreds of thousands of Italian passengers / visitors without any sanction whatsoever'.
According to Ryanair, instead of shutting down Italy’s main international airports once every two months, ENAV should be forced to start taking responsibility for its own action and failure by paying compensation to passengers whose flights are delayed or cancelled as a result of these repeated strikes.
Europe's biggest budget airline has published ENAV’s telephone number and address and invited passengers disrupted by the latest strike action to seek reimbursement of their expenses.
