Ryanair passengers up 13%

Ryanair's passenger numbers were up by 13% last month. The budget airline flew 5.8 million passengers in June, beating its previous best ever 30 day period of 5.7 million set in August 2008.
Its load factor was up 1% to 85%. In the 12 months to the end of June it carried 60.2 million passengers, with an average load factor of 82%.
Ryanair’s Stephen McNamara said: ‘Our growth of 13% to 5.8 million passengers for June and 60 million passengers for the 12 month period, establish new records for Ryanair. We are on course to carry 67 million passengers in our full year’.
