Flybe celebrated the 10-millionth passenger to use its extensive route network to and from Southampton Airport on Friday with a presentation to Bournemouth resident, Janet Cauchi, who was returning from Edinburgh. Mrs Cauchi received flowers and a 12-month complimentary pass to the airline’s Executive Lounge at Southampton along with a certificate to commemorate the historic milestone.
Flybe's Chief Commercial Officer, Mike Rutter, said: ‘We are delighted to celebrate Ms Cauchi being our 10-millionth Flybe passenger to fly on one of the 720 flights a week we are offering this summer out of our Southampton Airport base.’
David Lees, Managing Director of Southampton Airport, added: ‘As Flybe's largest hub, we are delighted to be welcoming the airline’s 10-millionth passenger through our airport. It is even more special to be celebrating this key milestone in 2010, as this is the airport's Centenary Year.’
