Roadworks warning at Southampton Airport

Those using Southampton Airport are being warned of potential delays because of roadworks. The airport has warned that major roadworks being carried out by Hampshire County Council on the A335 Southampton Road, in Eastleigh.
The work will take place between June 30 and November, from the Romsey Road roundabout to Chestnut Avenue. A signed temporary diversion route will operate via Romsey Road, Leigh Road, Passfield Avenue and Stoneham Lane to the main interchange roundabout for Southampton Airport and M27 Junction 5.
As significant delays could occur at peak times, the airport is advising passengers to allow extra time to travel to the airport. Those arriving by bus should check with the operator before travelling for any timetable or route changes.
