Flybe emergency landing at Southampton Airport

A Flybe plane made an emergency landing at Southampton Airport after a pilot reported technical problems. Flight BE1614 was travelling from Chambery in France when it experienced technical problems this afternoon. It is reported that there were 50 people on board.
Full scale emergency procedures were put into operation and Hampshire firefighters stood by. An airport spokesperson said: ‘The emergency services attended the airport as a matter of precaution, but were not required. The plane landed safely and all passengers and crew are fine.’
