Southampton Airport sees January growth

Passenger numbers at Southampton Airport rose by more than nine percent in January. The increase saw the airport handle 109,322 passengers last 9.4 percent increase year-on-year.
The rolling 12 month passenger total of 1.85 million passengers using the Hampshire airport. With new routes already confirmed for this year including Angers, Avignon, Faro, Palma, Cherbourg and Chambery by Flybe, the Isle of Man by Eastern Airways and additional capacity by Air France on its three times a day service to Paris, the airport is looking forward to a busy 2006.
