Flybe Southampton – Guernsey flight targeted with laser

A Flybe plane flying from Southampton to Guernsey was targeted by youths using laser pens, the Guernsey press reports. The airport received a complaint about the incident on Thursday evening, which involved flight BE637 from Southampton, which landed in Guernsey at approximately 20:25 that night.
Airport director Colin Le Ray has said:
‘We had a call from a member of the public saying they had seen a couple of youths shining laser pens at an incoming aircraft. The pilot later confirmed he had seen laser lights directed at him. The police took action to try to identify those involved, but they were not traced.'
