Robin Hood Airport benefits from latest ash cloud problems

Robin Hood Airport enjoyed some benefits from the recent ash cloud problems, after it was called in to take disrupted flights from other parts of Britain, the Star reports. Extra flights were put on to and from Robin Hood when a number of flights from Scottish airports and Newcastle were blocked from reaching their destinations on Tuesday as high levels of ash hung over Scotland and parts of northern England.
A spokesman for the airport said: ‘There has been no disruption with any of our outbound flights, but we have gained some aircraft from Glasgow and Newcastle.’
