Flight emergency at Robin Hood airport
16.09.05
Emergency services were called to Robin Hood airport late last night to attend a problem with an aircraft.
The incident, which happened at around 21:00, was thought to have been caused by an irregularity with the pressure system of a Thomsonfly plane during a flight from Alicante to Robin Hood Doncaster.
A spokesman from Thomsonfly said: 'The captain followed the procedure for such a situation and the aircraft landed as normal in Doncaster. Air Traffic Control took the decision to call for assistance from the emergency services. Engineers are working to resolve the problem.'
