Two new routes for Robin Hood Airport
13.09.08
Robin Hood Airport has received a major boost after its largest tour operator announced it will operate two new routes next summer. Thomson Holidays will launch flights to Sharm el Sheikh in Egypt and the Greek island of Kos in 2009, making Robin Hood one of only two airports in the UK at which it will increase services from next summer.
A spokesman for that airport said that Thomson has moved to increase its presence at Robin Hood following good performances throughout the summer. He said: ‘It’s wonderful news for the airport and the region that one of the most influential operators has identified us as one of its best performers for 2008.'
‘The growth of Thomson’s service to two more fantastic destinations shows the strength of our operations and it reflects our ambitions to expand the airport despite the current economic climate.'
Flights to Sharm el Sheikh and Kos for 2009 are available already. For more information visit www.robinhoodairport.com or call 0871 282 0664.
