Holidaymakers stranded at Prestwick Airport

Hundreds of passengers were left fuming yesterday when a travel firm's only plane failed to take off from Prestwick Airport, Scotland’s Sunday Mail reports. Tourists heading to Gran Canaria were told the 13:20 Seguro flight had developed problems and would be grounded for 20 hours.
One passenger told the newspaper: ‘We found out the plane was going to be delayed for a day when we got to the airport. It is a disgusting way to treat your customers.’
The passengers were booked into hotels overnight ahead of this morning's flight. Last year, Seguro suffered a number of problems, including stranding passengers in Gran Canaria for 40 hours without food or cash when the plane's satellite system failed.
