Prestwick Airport passengers up 17%

Prestwick Airport handled 17% more passengers in October compared to the same period last year. 177,280 people passed through the terminal in October compared with 152,163 in the same month in 2009.
A total of 1,181,937 passengers passed through the airport during the seven months to October 31, up from 1,165,805 for the same period last year. Freight numbers for October was 1186 tonnes, up slightly from the 1167 tonnes reported for the same month in 2009.
