Norwich Airport was on full emergency yesterday after a plane flying from France reported a a hydraulic system warning light had come on. A full range of emergency services attended the airport and the A140 Cromer Road, which crosses the airport's flight path, was shut for about an hour.
The flight from Morlaix in France, with only two crew on board, was being made to allow aircraft engineering works and routine maintenance. The Fokker 100 belongs to Brit Air, the regional airline of Brittany. It circled several times before landing safely.
