Low-cost airline Flybe announced the early launch of its summer 2006 programme today. As part of the launch, Flybe confirmed 5 new routes from Norwich Airport.
From next summer the no-frills airline will operate between Norwich and Alicante, Faro, Guernsey, Jersey and Murcia. The new routes will bring its network from East Anglia up to 12 routes for 2006.
Following strong demand for its routes from Norwich this summer, Flybe has now put 725,000 seats for summer 2006 on sale today. The airline's marketing and sales director Mike Rutter said: 'The early release of our summer schedule 2006 is a result of us listening to our customers' demands.'
'We have rapidly expanded our network of routes available from Norwich since moving into the airport late last year. We are dedicated to increasing both our sun routes and domestic links from the region.'
Next spring, Flybe will add daily flights to Dublin and Aberdeen to its routes to Belfast, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Jersey. The new destinations are expected to take the operator's Norwich passenger numbers beyond 500,000. The carrier wants to see about 20 routes by the middle of next year.
Return trip prices currently range from around £44 for Belfast to £114 for Geneva. For more information visit www.flybe.com.
