New shopping concept at Newcastle Airport

Passengers travelling from Newcastle Airport now have a new shopping experience following the opening of the new Biza store last week. The 1000-square-metre (10,760sq ft) store offers an ‘inspirational, exciting and satisfying’ airport shopping experience, Alpha Retail, the company behind the new store, claim.
Biza, which takes its name from the word bazaar (although we think people will pronounce rhyming with Geeza), offers a boutique-style grouping of products that includes a selection of items exclusive to the store. The walk-through shop features groups of products divided into ‘hubs’, each with a distinct visual identity.
Reg Curtis, UK managing director of the Alpha, said that the aim of the brand is to offer an ‘emotive and engaging’ shopping experience. He said: ‘We wanted people to feel that their holiday had already begun, as they browsed the store, discovering the expected, as well as the unexpected.'
‘Biza places Newcastle Airport at the cutting edge of travel retail and gives the airport's travellers an exceptional experience that we believe will encourage them to make the store an essential destination on every journey they make.’
The Biza concept will be introduced in the company’s stores at Manchester and East Midlands airports in the coming months.
