Eastern most punctual at Birmingham and Newcastle Airport

UK regional airline Eastern Airways has been named the most punctual scheduled airline at Birmingham and Newcastle Airport. The latest figures on airline punctuality from the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) for the period January to September 2008 show that more than 94% of Eastern Airways flights from Birmingham and 89% from Newcastle departed within 15 minutes of the scheduled time.
Average delays at Birmingham were just four minutes, while average delays at Newcastle for the airline’s flights they were six and a half minutes. Eastern Airways’ ground services manager, Roger Hage said: ‘We have consistently been rated Birmingham and Newcastle’s most punctual airline for a number of years and we’re on target to be top for a third year at both airports.'
