Newcastle Airport gets Orlando flights

Cosmos Holidays has announced it will operate holidays and flights direct from Newcastle Airport to Orlando, Florida, next summer. The flights will operate to Orlando’s Sanford Airport using a Monarch Airbus A330 aircraft, departing from Newcastle on Tuesdays and returning in the early hours of Wednesday morning from May until August next year.
Dave Laws, the airport's chief executive, said: ‘We are delighted with this news. It means more families from the region can fly from Newcastle Airport directly to Florida next summer, while saving considerable time and money.'
‘We know that over 20,000 people from the region travel to Orlando from other UK airports. It is great news that Cosmos now offer this to give our customers more choice when travelling from their local airport.'
