New car parking system for Newcastle Airport

Newcastle Airport has implemented a new car parking booking system supplied by UK specialist Chauntry following its decision to take its car park management in-house. The airport is using a range of Chauntry’s Parkspace reservation and car park management tools, including a new web pre-booking service on the its website.
The airport's customers have been able to book online for some time, through services operated by parking management partners. However, following the switch to Parkspace, customers can now also manage their bookings online, giving them better service and reducing customer service costs.
Newcastle Airport Car Parking Manager George Nesbitt said: ‘We are delighted with the Chauntry system. It provides us with a more user-friendly and operationally efficient system, with the flexibility and functionality to enable us to offer an improved service to our customers. We’re in control of everything – 24 hours a day, seven days a week.’
Chauntry Managing Director Theresa Hughes said: ‘I’m delighted with the success of Newcastle’s pre-booking project. We could see that they had a real desire to do more with their airport parking operation, and that Parkspace was the only solution that gave them the tools they needed.’
