Weather hits Newcastle Airport flights

Gales and driving rain swept the North East last night, causing transport chaos. At Newcastle Airport both arrivals and departures were affected by the high winds.
Flights from the airport to Aberdeen and Amsterdam were cancelled and dozens of others were delayed by up to two hours. All flights this morning are expected to be unaffected.
