Jet2 Manchester flight problem

A Majorca bound Jet2 flight had to return to Manchester – just 20 minutes after taking off. Jet2's LS831 to Palma left the airport at about 07:00 yesterday morning with around 200 passengers on-board. But less than half an hour into the flight the pilot informed holidaymakers that the aircraft had developed a technical problem and they would have to turn around.
Passengers were taken back to the departure lounge and a replacement flight departed at 14:00, resulting in a seven-hour delay. A spokesman for Jet2 described the problem as a 'minor technical error' and apologised to passengers for their wait.
