Manchester Airport car park in administration

The company that operates the Securapark car park near Manchester Airport went in to administration yesterday. The off airport car park is on the eight floor or the Multi-storey car park in Rowlandsway, Wythenshawe, a 10 - 15 minute transfer to the airport.
With just over 1000 spaces spread over four floors of the car park, Securapark was popular with holidaymakers. The car park will remain open November 4, so that those with cars already at the car park will not be affected. Anyone with parking beyond that date will be contacted and offered a space at another car park.
Securapark becomes the third car park near Manchester Airport to close in the last 12 months. Airparks has closed two of its off airport car parks during the period. And with November and December traditionally the period when travel companies finances are at their most stretched, many expect more holiday company failures before the year end.
