Manchester flight diverted over drunken rowing couple

A Manchester Airport bound holiday jet had to be diverted to France after a couple began a drunken brawl at 32,000ft, the Manchester Evening News reports. The pair had to be separated by cabin crew before the captain of the Thomas Cook flight diverted to Lyon, where the couple were arrested.
The rest of the passengers arrived back in Manchester on the flight from Egypt three hours later than scheduled. One told the newspaper that the journey was `absolute torture'. She said: ‘It was very frightening. The couple were very drunk. They shouldn't have even been allowed on board.’
‘It was horrific. The couple started arguing and then they were fighting. I've never heard or seen anything like it. They moved the woman and she was sick all over the place.’
