Flybe thanks Manchester Airport for EuroManx help
14.05.08
Flybe has thanked Manchester Airport for helping rescue 20,000 passengers stranded by the collapse of Euromanx on May 9. The airline said that this ‘swift and coordinated action’ shows that there is no need for a government bonding scheme protecting against airline insolvency.
The failure of the Isle of Man based airline left 20,000 passengers at their destinations with no way of getting home. Flybe flew the stranded travellers to their final destinations at no extra charge, with normal charges waived by Manchester Airport.
