Lydd Airport council decision delayed
08.07.09
The decision over the expansion of Lydd Airport has been delayed for another two months by Shepway council, after a request from the airport’s lawyers, Kent News reports. The meeting will now be held on September 23 and not tomorrow, as originally planned.
The owners of the site - also known as London Ashford Airport - want to build a new 500,000 passenger terminal building and extend the runway. The application was originally submitted in December 2006 and has been the source of much controversy.
