Scam claim over easyBus Luton Airport bus policy
30.09.11
An angry passenger at Luton Airport branded easyBus’s ticket policy ‘a scam’, Luton Today reports. Ben Judah travelled on the coach service from Luton Airport to Central London and was stunned to discover that many of his fellow passengers had been forced to pay for their £15 tickets twice.
easyBus sell tickets online for this service, but have a policy that gives passengers a one hour grace period to use their advance tickets before they must purchase a new one. Mr Judah told the newspaper: ‘Given the unpredictability of flight delays, this policy is manifestly unfair. I arrived on a flight that had been delayed by 90 minutes and would have been in the same position as these other unfortunate passengers had I purchased an e-ticket in advance. It is ridiculous, it is a scam for making more money.’
