24.09.11
Lorraine Chase paid a flying visit to Luton Airport yesterday to help celebrate easyJet’s 65 millionth traveller from the airport – and the launch a new route to the Greek island of Corfu.
The actress, whose 1970s Campari TV advert helped put the Bedfordshire airport on the map, checked in the budget airline’s first passenger in 1995, who was heading from Luton to Glasgow. And she was back yesterday to mark the milestone.
An easyJet spokesman said: ‘We couldn’t think of anyone more appropriate to celebrate this milestone and the new Corfu route launch with than Lorraine. We’re really pleased she was able to join us again at Luton Airport.’
