easyJet cut Jersey flights from Liverpool and Luton
06.09.08
easyJet has axed five Jersey flights from their winter schedule because of low demand, despite reassuring Islanders in July that they would not reduce their services, the Evening Post reports.
A spokesman for the budget airline said that their Jersey winter schedule, which runs from October to March, has been reduced to five flights a week to Luton Airport and four to Liverpool Airport. This was uploaded onto their website a few weeks ago.
The cancelled flights were on sale until recently, meaning that travellers from Jersey already booked to fly will have to find an alternative airline or travel date. And Servisair, easyJet’s handling agent at Jersey Airport, has not been made aware of all the cancellations.
