easyJet carried 3.14m passengers in January, up 10.7% on the 2.84m passengers in 2009. Its load factor, a measures how full its planes were, increased by 3.6 percentage points to 86.2%.
In the rolling 12 months to the end of January the budget airline carried 46.4m passengers, up 3.8% on the previous 12 months. Its average load factor was 86.2%, up 1.2 percentage points.
