Luton Airport gets multilingual broadcast system

Luton Airport has launched a new multi-lingual communications system for flight departures. The airport's new Aviavox system will allow flight departure information to be broadcast in nine different languages.
The system is also capable of broadcasting information about particular routes and flights across different parts of the airport, so that messages with limited relevance can be targeted at those needing the information and not the whole airport.
An airport spokesman said that the new system is particularly useful for delivering security messages and has been essential during peak travel times over the busy summer holiday period.
